Lindsay Watson is Vancouver born and bred; she grew up in West Vancouver. Although she attained her master’s in Education, she studied art whenever possible. While teaching and raising a family, photography was her form of artistic expression. When introduced to painting, she felt an immediate kinship with acrylics, although recently, she has begun working with coloured pencils and ink. She is a past member of Art Focus and the Port Moody Art Association in the Tri–Cities, and is an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. Her work is in private collections in Canada and Germany. She has been in several juried group shows, and had her first solo show in June, 2011. In spring 2014, her work was published in AcrylicWorks, featuring contemporary work from artists around the globe. In the fall of 2016, she joined other contemporary artists in the publication Oh West Canada!, part of a worldwide project called Imago Mundi. Her painting was shown in an exhibition in Venice, Italy, in the fall of 2017.
